Labourer / Handyman

Steadberry is a London commercial fit-out and maintenance contractor delivering churn, moves, alterations and reactive works for blue-chip occupiers. We are recruiting a reliable Labourer / Handyman on a temporary basis to support our site teams, based out of our Bromley operation.

About the role

This is a hands-on role covering general labouring and handyman tasks, including:

• General labouring and site support across fit-out, churn and reactive maintenance jobs
• Handyman tasks: minor repairs, fixings, patching, adjustments and making good
• Moving and handling furniture, materials and equipment
• Keeping sites clean, safe and tidy, including waste segregation and clearance
• Loading, unloading and distributing deliveries
• Assisting tradesmen and technicians as directed by the site supervisor
• Working to Steadberry health and safety standards at all times

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card is essential - you will not be able to work on our sites without one
• Right to work in the UK
• Reliable, punctual and presentable
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
• Good basic practical / DIY ability
• Able to work in and travel to central London sites from Bromley

Desirable

• Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling or other site tickets
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous experience on commercial fit-out or office sites
